The August 26th screening will be of My Sweet Misery.
In this award-winning micro-budget indie, a suicidal man is haunted by a past that is coming full circle in strange and surreal ways. The film mixes character based drama and dark comedy as we gradually meet a series of other broken eccentrics who live in — or are pulled into — his fractured orbit. Among them: A woman who once set out to destroy him…and another who just might be his savior. The cast includes Anna Chlumsky (MY GIRL and IN THE LOOP) and Thomas Jay Ryan (HENRY FOOL, FAY GRIM). It’s the first film from writer/director Matthew William Jordan.
